How to be a part...

Malama Koloa is the lead agency working for the preservation, restoration and maintenance of the wahi pana associated with Hapa Trail, the Koloa Field System and HoloHolo Koloa scenic byway.

Hui Mālama o Kōloa seeks to preserve, protect and perpetuate Hawaii’s natural resources by:

(1) Identifying and recommending historic archeological sites of importance and interest for preservation;

(2) Studying and promoting awareness of Hawaii’s unique environment and

ecosystems and developing programs to ensure preservation of the Island’s natural environment and resources through sustainable management practices and projects;and

(3) Preserving and protecting Hawaii’s natural environment and resources through the stewardship of lands consistent with traditional methods of resource management.
